{New Post} Presidents Day 2017

The third Monday in February is Presidents’ Day. Washington’s Birthday was a United States federal holiday.

This holiday, celebrated on the third Monday of February in honor of George Washington, our first President of the United States. Now, this day is known as Presidents Day, and is often an occasion to remember all the U.S. presidents, not just George Washington’s actual birthday, February 22 or Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday is February 12th. The term “Presidents’ Day” used to change the holiday into a day honoring multiple American presidents.

Recently, the February holiday is a day in which many retail stores, especially furniture stores and car dealerships, hold discount sales. Until the late 1980s, banks and corporate businesses closed on this day, similar to present corporate and bank practices on Memorial Day or Christmas Day. With the late 1980s advertising push to rename the holiday, more retail businesses are staying open during the holiday each year, and, as on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Veterans Day and Columbus Day. Many colleges and universities hold regular classes and operations on Presidents’ Day. Most U.S. Postal Service delivery services offer regular service on the day.

Tuesday, February 14, 2017 – Valentine’s Day is celebrated annually on February 14. It is a festival of romantic love and some people give Valentines Day cards, Love Letters, flowers or presents to their spouse or partner. They may also arrange a romantic meal in a restaurant or night in a hotel. Common symbols of Valentine’s Day are red hearts, red roses and Cupid.

Jan 23, 2017 – Kineticdc loses wait time for die casting parts. Kinetic Die Casting Company will ship most production die casting parts in less than 4 weeks. Other die casting companies are trapped in the old way of manufacturing die casting parts and are shipping parts in 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 14 weeks and even more than 16 weeks.

How much is the longer wait time costing their customers? If a product needs to be shipped this month but the die casting parts will not be ready for several weeks, that means lost income for the manufacturing company. Kinetic Die Casting Company solves that wait time problem for our customers.

Many times a new customer will send us a die casting mold from our competitor and we will ship parts in less than two weeks. If you need parts fast, send us your die casting tooling, we will make a special effort to get you your parts in less than two weeks.

{New Post} California Die Casting Congress 2017

January 18-19, NADCA is excited to announce the first ever California Congress at the Hilton Long Beach. The Congress will feature technology highlights of our Congress in Columbus earlier this fall. It is important to use that all our members are able to access this information prevalent to the advancement in the industry. The event will kick off with a cocktail reception on January 18 and lead into a full day of presentations on January 19. The Congress will be sponsored by a limited number of Suppliers that attendees will be able to meet with to learn more about products and services available to the die casting industry.
